Ambassador Stefan Tomašević Visits Memorial to Field Marshal Radomir Putnik

Ambassador of the Republic of Serbia to Canada Stefan Tomašević visited the memorial dedicated to Serbian Field Marshal Radomir Putnik, located at the foot of Mount Putnik in the Kananaskis mountain range in the Canadian province of Alberta.
Mount Putnik was named in 1918 in honour of Field Marshal Radomir Putnik. A memorial plaque dedicated to Field Marshal Putnik was installed in 2012 thanks to the efforts of the Serbian community in Alberta. During the visit, Ambassador Tomašević emphasized the importance of preserving the memory of Field Marshal Radomir Putnik and the proud tradition of the Serbian people’s struggle for liberation, which continues to be preserved in Alberta thanks to the Serbian community.
