Ambassador Tomasevic Attends Presentation on the Choir of the Church of Saint Archdeacon Stephen Pilgrimage to Serbian Holy Sites

Organized by the women’s association “Ramonda” from Ottawa, a presentation was held at the Serbian Parish Centre on the choir’s journey through churches and monasteries in the Republic of Serbia.

In his address to the attendees, Ambassador Tomasevic emphasized the importance of close ties between the homeland and the diaspora. He noted that the choir’s pilgrimage to Serbia represents an important contribution to the strengthening of Serbian spirituality and culture.

 

 

The Choir of the Church of Saint Archdeacon Stephen visited a large number of churches and monasteries, including the Church of Saint Mark in Belgrade, the Church of the Holy Apostles Peter and Paul in Šabac, the Church of Saint Procopius in Loznica, the Tronoša Monastery in Tršić, the Lelić and Ćelije Monasteries in Valjevo, the monasteries of the Ovčar-Kablar Gorge, the Gradac and Studenica Monasteries, the Sopoćani and Đurđevi Stupovi Monasteries, the Church of Saints Peter and Paul in Ras, the Žiča Monastery, the Church of the Dormition of the Most Holy Theotokos in Pančevo, the Tumane Monastery, the Manasija and Ravanica Monasteries, as well as the Grgeteg Monastery on Fruška Gora. In most of these holy sites, the choir participated in Divine Liturgies or performed concerts of sacred music.
