Armistice Day Commemorated in Ottawa – Ambassador Tomašević Pays Tribute to the Victims of the Great War

On the occasion of Armistice Day in the First World War, the Ambassador of the Republic of Serbia, Stefan Tomašević, laid a wreath today dedicated to the "Immortal Heroes" at the National War Memorial in Ottawa, paying tribute to all the victims and soldiers who gave their lives for freedom during the Great War.

The ceremony was attended by representatives of the Canadian Government, the diplomatic corps, the armed forces, and numerous citizens.

The Embassy of the Republic of Serbia in Canada continues to uphold the tradition of commemorating Armistice Day and to strengthen the friendly relations between the two countries, based on mutual respect and shared values.
