Direct Belgrade–Toronto Flights Resume After 34 Years

Ambassador of the Republic of Serbia to Canada, Stefan Tomašević, attended the ceremonial event marking the re-establishment of the direct air route between Belgrade and Toronto, through which the air connection between Canada and Serbia has been restored after 34 years.
The resumption of direct flights represents a significant step in strengthening ties between Serbia and Canada, as well as further connecting with the large Serbian community living in Canada. It is expected that the direct route will contribute to the development of tourism, economic and cultural cooperation, as well as facilitate travel for citizens and the business community.
Flights between Belgrade and Toronto will operate twice a week, on Wednesdays and Saturdays, using Airbus A330-200 aircraft of Serbia’s national airline, Air Serbia.
