MEETING OF THE FOREIGN MINISTERS OF SERBIA AND CANADA IN OTTAWA
Minister M. Đurić emphasized the significance of the visit in the year marking the anniversary of diplomatic relations, reiterated the commitment of the Republic of Serbia to further advancing cooperation, and extended an invitation to the Canadian Minister to visit the Republic of Serbia. He welcomed the re-establishment of the direct Belgrade–Toronto air route operated by Air Serbia, highlighting its importance for connecting people and economies, as well as its potential for investment and trade.
He pointed out that the Serbian-Canadian Business Forum in Toronto will contribute to strengthening business cooperation and emphasized the special importance of the Serbian diaspora in Canada. Discussions also covered Kosovo and Metohija, with particular attention drawn to the extremely difficult position of the Serbian people, as well as Serbia’s European integration process, regional and international issues, and Expo 2027 in Belgrade, with an invitation extended to Canada to participate.
