17. Jun 2026.
Ahead of the upcoming fifth edition of the “Wine Vision by Open Balkan” wine fair in Belgrade, and with the aim of strengthening the positioning of Serbian products on the Canadian market, an event dedicated to the promotion of Serbian wines and fruit brandies was held at the Residence of the Ambassador of Serbia to Canada, H.E. Stefan Tomašević. The presentation was accompanied by an exhibition of paintings by Serbian artist Vladimir Ivanović.

During the evening, more than 30 high-quality wines and fruit brandies from Serbian producers were presented, thanks to the support of the Association of Winemakers and Winegrowers of Serbia.

The event was attended by Canadian Members of Parliament and Senators, senior representatives of Canadian institutions, the diplomatic corps, distribution companies, and the Serbian community. In addition to tasting Serbian products and traditional Serbian cuisine, guests had the opportunity to discover Serbia’s rich cultural and tourism offer.

Ambassador Tomašević invited guests to visit Serbia, emphasizing that numerous international events provide excellent opportunities to experience the country’s potential. He particularly highlighted the importance of the “Wine Vision” fair, which will take place in Belgrade in October and bring together wine enthusiasts, producers, distributors, and experts from around the world. Ambassador Tomašević also underlined the significance of Serbia hosting EXPO 2027 Belgrade, the first specialized world exhibition to be held in our region.

The promotion of Serbian brands represents part of the broader efforts aimed at further strengthening bilateral cooperation between Serbia and Canada in a year marked by important anniversaries, with a particular focus on economic cooperation and expanding trade exchange between the two countries.
