Serbian Ambassador Visits British Columbia Parliament, Discusses Strengthening Cooperation

The Ambassador of the Republic of Serbia, Stefan Tomašević, began his visit to the Province of British Columbia with a tour of the Parliament on April 16, 2026, on which occasion his presence during the session was officially announced.
During a separate meeting, the Speaker of the Legislative Assembly of British Columbia, Raj Chouhan, welcomed the Ambassador and emphasized the importance of international cooperation in the contemporary political context, placing particular focus on the role of parliamentary collaboration.
The official meeting between the Ambassador and the Speaker of the Legislative Assembly of British Columbia took place in a spirit of friendship and constructive dialogue. Discussions focused on enhancing bilateral relations, the importance of the Serbian community in Canada, strengthening institutional cooperation, as well as opportunities for further development of political and economic partnership.
